The main problem we ran into with this activity was some students not understanding the purpose of the activity. They didn't understand the need for a product rule in the first place. To address this we introduced Q1 but it will be important to discuss the difference between the two functions f(x) and g(x) and why we need more before we can take the derivative of g(x).
